Returns & Shipping Policy

1. Warranty period

All devices carry a 30-day warranty from the date of reception by the client. Claims submitted after this period will not be eligible for return or replacement.

2. Inspection window & eligible returns

SmartChoice inspects and grades every unit before dispatch (see our grading guide). Buyers have 7 business days from the date of delivery to inspect the order and report any discrepancies.

A return for a credit note may be requested within this window if:

  • The device arrives Dead on Arrival (DOA).
  • The device does not match the IMEI or grade specified on the order.
  • The device has a functional defect not disclosed at the time of sale.

Cosmetic grade is disclosed at the point of sale per our published grading criteria. Grade disputes within normal tolerance for the stated grade are not eligible for return.

3. Conditions that void the return

Returns will not be accepted if:

  • The device shows damage caused by the buyer after delivery.
  • The serial number (IMEI) has been removed, altered, or tampered with.
  • There is evidence of misuse, liquid damage, or unauthorised repair.

4. How to initiate a return

Returns require prior written approval and the original IMEI documentation for the affected units. Returns cannot be processed without a completed RMA form.

  1. Submit an RMA form to rma@smartchoice.ee.
  2. Include your order number, the affected device IMEI(s), and a clear description of the issue.
  3. Attach photos or video clearly showing the defect or grade discrepancy.
  4. SmartChoice will review the claim and respond within 48 hours with a decision and, if approved, return instructions.

5. Return shipping

Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility. The unit must be received at our Tartu warehouse before any credit is issued.

6. Resolution

Once a returned device is received and inspected, SmartChoice will issue a credit note against future orders by default. A bank transfer refund is available on request. Resolutions are processed within 5 business days of receiving the return.

7. Shipping & dispatch

  • Orders dispatch from Tartu, Estonia within 1 business day of payment confirmation for in-stock units.
  • Standard delivery across the EU takes 2–5 business days depending on destination.
  • Minimum order: 10 units. Volume pricing is available from 50+ units.

8. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Any disputes arising from or relating to this policy shall be resolved in the Tartu County Court.
